As a member of the Illinois Lodge of Research, you have benefits that non-members do not enjoy. These include:
- The prestige of being a member of this lodge: Non-members are welcome to attend our Annual Meeting and may have access to our events and Transactions, but there’s nothing like being a card-carrying and lodge-supporting member. That says something.
- Having the opportunity to help: Whether as an officer (yes, we have both elected and appointed), a committee member, or just having a vote at our Annual Meeting, a member has a vested interest in the well-being of the lodge.
- Access to Annual Transactions: Members of the Illinois Lodge of Research can gain ready and easy access to all of our electronic versions of the Annual Transactions. Some other Masonic museums and libraries have print editions of earlier Transactions as well, as does the Library in Normal, Illinois. Each year’s Transactions are emailed out to the members (who have provided us valid email addresses).
- Attending special events: While we do welcome non-members of our lodge to our special events (in the hopes that they will become members, of course), as a member of the Illinois Lodge of Research, you’ll get special invitations to all of our events and even some we may hold just for members.
